The waste circuit boards on the market are mainly circuit boards of home appliances, computers, etc. Therefore, they can be divided into several categories for recycling. Those with electronic components need to be disassembled manually first, and then disassembled and recycled with circuit board recycling equipment; those without electronic components can be directly crushed and recycled. Among electronic waste, although the recycling of circuit boards is difficult, it has a very high economic value. The metal grade in circuit boards is equivalent to dozens to hundreds of times the metal grade in ordinary minerals. The metal content is as high as more than 40%, the most is copper, in addition to gold, tin, nickel, lead, silicon and other metals, among which there are many rare metals, while the metal content of rich ores in nature is usually only 3-5%. In addition, the non-metallic waste residue of waste circuit boards can be used as building materials. At the same time, the solder and plastic on the waste circuit boards are also important resources that can be recycled.
The study found that when the waste motherboard was crushed to 1.2 mm, it could be basically dissociated, and the crushed products contained 6% copper, 18% other metals, and 76% non-metals; copper was mainly distributed in <0.5 mm powder, and metals were mainly in >0.5 mm particle size; high-frequency airflow separators can effectively separate non-metals from metals, and its sorting particle size range is wide, the sorting lower limit is low, and the operating cost is low, which is an ideal dry sorting.
