Lithium battery environmental protection equipment: turning retired batteries into “urban mines”

2025-11-21
Nowadays, electric vehicles and mobile phones are used more and more, and there are also more and more waste lithium batteries. If thrown casually, the lithium, cobalt and other metals inside will pollute the soil and water, and waste good things. At this point, lithium battery environmental protection equipment comes in handy.
These devices have a great set for handling waste batteries. Some can directly “dismantle” the battery without advance, and discharge it while charging nitrogen to prevent fire. For example, Green Jet’s equipment can process 1.5 tons of batteries per hour, which is particularly energy-efficient. Some rely on “screening” methods such as magnetic separation and AI light selection to separate copper, aluminum, and positive and negative electrode powders in the battery. Jufeng’s equipment can achieve 99.2% purity in copper and aluminum separation, and recover more than 98.5% of positive and negative electrode powders.
There is also no ambiguity in terms of environmental protection. Some devices treat the electrolyte in the battery at high temperatures, and the resulting exhaust gas is purified through multiple layers, resulting in minimal dust and harmful gases. Some use cloth bags and static electricity to remove dust, with a harmful gas removal rate of over 98%, and can also recover heat for reuse.
With these devices, waste lithium batteries are no longer considered waste, and useful metals can be extracted and reused, which not only protects the environment but also does not waste resources. It’s truly a win-win situation!
